About Us

Born in 1967 Vanessa Priest graduated from Loughborough College of Art and Design in 1988 with a degree in Silversmithing.

Vanessa spent many years as a designer and promoter of jewellery and giftware. Having traveled the world representing British jewellery and giftware companies, she decided to settle down to have a family, and work part-time in education.

In 2003 she started trading at craft events as Jean Cox (in memory of her mother who had made jewellery under the same name). Vanessa works primarily in silver with natural materials, unusual gemstones and antique beads to produce unique and original designs.

Her ranges of jewellery are particularly popular with brides, especially crystal collars and pearl jewellery, and with clients looking for wearable jewellery made from healing gemstones.

Vanessa also teaches jewellery and siversmithing for local education authorities and councils, and has organised private classes of basic skills to advanced beading techniques.
